For your pleasure and comfort of home, the cottage "In Cret du Bois" will seduce you with refined decoration, this house is great for either a family holiday or more energetic walking, cycling (both road and mountain biking) and outdoor activities. The stunning massive timbers are a real feature and all hand crafted by the owners. The rooms are light and airy with a relaxed comfortable feel. The hamlet is wonderfully quiet - other than horses passing, traffic is rare. The Massif des Bauges is a well kept secret among the French - really worth discovering. For anyone coming with children we can supply a large range of toys(big trampoline,Tyrolean 60 meters long,swing,swimming pool). Nearby attractions and activities available include horse riding, Via Ferrata, Accrobranch, castles to visit, vineyards, local markets, award winning local cheese producers, the stunning Gorge du Fier, cycle hire, parapenting and more.

The owners were very welcoming. The chalet was very well equipped with everything you could need and with shared use of the lovely garden with pool. There is lots to do in the area including the local lake for swimming, walking, visits to lake do bourget, Annecy all easily reachable from the chalet. Our family had a great week and would definitely return if visiting the area again.

We had an absolutely fantastic week at "Au cret du bois" with our two children aged 8 and 11. The property is beautiful and rightly the pride and joy of Alain and Christelle. It is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The particular highlight for us was the garden; the children in particular who spent any time not asleep on the trampoline, in the pool or on the zip wire. The views are stunning during the day and sound of owls at night a real treat.
The area is so beautiful, quiet and there is so much to do that we are threatening to come back. Particular highlights are Annecy, Le Semnoz, Le Revard, Le Gorge du Fier and the Jardins Secrets. We can't recommend this wonderful place to stay enough!

The property and location was fantastic (both inside and out in the garden).
Our Son's spent hours playing in the garden, swimming in the pool, the zip wire and the trampoline. The property was lovely inside and finished to a high standard. Christelle & Allan could not be more helpful throughout our 2 week stay. We found ourselves having lazy days enjoying the sun and the pool, and then days travelling around enjoying the lakes and the mountains. We would definitely recommend this property for amazing family holidays.

We had a brilliant holiday staying in this property. The location is amazing. Views down the valley and the sound of cow bells and bird song! The gite is beautifully constructed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable to live in. All you would need is available. Kitchen is well equipped, good BBQ in the massive garden and lovely bathroom with great walk in shower. The owners, Christelle and Alain are very welcoming and helpful, even lending my husband a USB cable for his cycling computer!
Our son loved the swimming pool (as did we) and there is plenty in the garden to keep children entertained if you want a lazy day at home.
We would definitely recommend this property and would love to return one day.
