About this villa rental
Home away from home with everything you need for a fabulous holiday. No hidden costs on arrival. Air-con, wi-fi and safe all included. We will be here for your arrival and help you settle in. We leave you to enjoy your holiday but are on hand to help if you need us. The villa has a high traditional wooden ceiling that leads out through patio doors to a covered eating area and the pool. Inside the villa there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a dinning and lounge area. The bathroom has a large wet room shower. The villa is set in a small child friendly enclosed olive grove with the road finishing just past the villa at a small church. It has plenty of private gated off road parking. Enjoy the warm weather in the swimming pool or sunbathe on the patio, but why not take your siesta under an olive tree. A peaceful location within easy reach of the beach and the village with three fantastic restaurants and a mini market . Kissamos town is 10 mins drive where you will find all the amenities, banks, post office, shops, internet cafe, restaurants, chemists, and medical centre. There is also a local tour operator in Kissamos ‘Strata Tours’ which organise many varied activities as well as the usual tours. There are a few little sandy bays (ideal for young children) on the way to Kissamos which have many beach front tavernas and coffee shops. The beautiful beach of Falasarna is 15 mins drive with Elafonisi about 1 hour away. Both of these beaches have long expanses of sand and blue seas. The blue lagoon at Balos can be reached by road in a 4x4 with a 10 min walk down to the beach. The port of Kavonisi is nearby with daily cruises to Gramvoussa and the beautiful blue lagoon of Balos. Car hire is essential to explore this unspoilt area of Crete with its many little coves and hidden treasures. Kissamos has a wine factory with free tours and tastings. The popular town of Chania is only 35 mins drive with its Venetian harbour and shops Limnopoli Water Park is not to be missed and is only 40 mins away near Chania. For the gardeners there are the Botanic Gardens which has a restaurant for a cooling drink or something to eat. Lake Kourna is a fresh water lake about 1 hour away with tavernas and pedalos for the energetic. The really energetic may even want to tackle the Samaria Gorge. There are many more local places of interest to visit. Easyjet and Ryanair now fly into Chania airport which is a 50 min drive away. We will send you a map and directions after booking and we will be on the other end of the phone line should you encounter any problems.

great villa in a peaceful sourrounding

Arriving at the villa among the olive groves, one feels miles from anywhere. However, the village where one can eat delicious Cretan food, get drinks & snacks with locals, is a ten minute walk along the tracks. The unspoilt town of Kissamos is a ten minute drive. Nearby are lovely beaches. This is a working agricultural area, still relatively unspoilt by tourism.
