About this house rental
Beautiful house located in the heart of North Maremma, in the real countryside but not far from the sea, with incredible view on the hills until the Elba island. Recently renovated and decorated with antique furniture, offers an entrance with fireplace, a living room and a “summer living room” in the veranda, a dining room, an office room with fireplace, a very well equipped kitchen, four bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. A big garden with terrace, swimming pool and 13 acres of olive trees and grazing land.
Weekly rates (included additional costs, bed and bath linen and final cleaning) depending on the season and number of tenants. Discount for long stay.
The fifth bedroom, with private bathroom, is located in an outbuilding of 25 sqm.
Next to the pool (11x4,5 meters) there is a small kitchen.
A car is needed.

My wife and I invited my family to celebrate my birthday in this property. It is the perfect location for a get together: 5 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a beautiful pool, lots of places to sit and talk, eat and drink. The property is is an old farm house in the Tuscan forest, renovated and nicely furnished. The view from the property is absolutely amazing. Two slight limitations are the internet (spotty in most places on the property) and the access road (gravel and rocks, not suited to a sports car but can be navigated fine otherwise).

This place felt like home from the moment we arrived. It is in a very beautiful and rural place, which we loved, very quiet and relaxing, mainly birdsong. Authentic Italian. You can feel the love with which it has been furnished and decorated. It is so well equipped there was not one thing we were short of. Fantastic swimming pool, spotlessly clean as was the whole house. Great showers, comfy beds, lots of places to sit both inside and out. Fun roads to drive, very little traffic, lots of wildlife. Marissa lives on the farm next door and looks after this place for the owner. She is very friendly and helpful. If I had a house in Italy it would be exactly like this, in fact it would be this one! Would book this place again in a heartbeat! Loved it!!

We are a family of 4 with two teenage girls (14 and 17) and we really enjoyed our time at this lovely villa. The location is beautiful and remote, on an unmade road, so a low car is not advisable!
The pool is probably one of the best we have had in a villa- stunning view and very clean and a good size for swimming. There are a good range of loungers by the pool as well as parasols for keeping out of the 34 degree heat! There is also a fridge and a sink by the pool that were useful - the pool is below the house so its great to have somewhere to keep cold drinks.
As others have mentioned, the kitchen is very well equipped, but does get hot as there is no a/c in this room - not a problem for us but may be for others. There are mosquito screens on all doors and windows, and we managed to avoid being bitten! The beds were comfortable and all the bedrooms have AC and en suite bathrooms.
Anna is very quick to respond to any questions and provides some good suggestions of what to do in the local area and was very helpful with directions.
As one of the previous reviews mentioned, it is about 25 minutes from the nearest supermarket and the road is very windy up to the villa, so make sure you stock up on supplies when at the supermarket in Masa Marittima. We found the Conad supermarket the best. Masa Marittima is a nice place to visit as well, and there are some good restaurants in the main square
Marissa lives in the separate rear part of the villa, and is very helpful, and although she only speaks Italian - we managed to communicate well! She does have 2 dogs that bark, sometimes early in the morning, which can interrupt the peace and quiet.
Rather oddly, when we first arrived we had only been given 2 bedrooms. However, after a quick call to Anna, Marissa made up a 3rd bedroom for us. This was a little confusing as the VRBO booking confirmation stated that we had booked a 5 bedroom villa. So it’s worth confirming prior to booking what parts of the villa will be accessible to you if you are a small party.
I’d recommend this villa to families looking for a villa in a stunning location with a great pool.
