The house and grounds in general were terrific. The beds were really comfortable, plenty of clean towels. A really peaceful location. There was a problem with the drains though which meant 2 of the 3 bathrooms smelled bad a lot of the time, though things improved a bit towards the end of the week. Also we couldn't access any of the safes. All 3 were locked when we arrived. Someone did come out to look at both things and did their best but neither got sorted. Couldn't get the TVs to work either, but maybe that's not such a bad thing on a holiday!

Absolutely loved our stay at Walleken! The villa was spacious and beautifully decorated, We enjoyed evenings by the pond with a glass of wine, Perfect place for a family gathering!

Groot en prachtig huis. Goede bedden, airco werkte goed (was ook nodig want warmt snel op). Uitzicht op de vijver is super. Minpuntje: Het was op eerste zicht proper maar de netheid kon beter (vooral dan de tafel buiten, ramen, deurklinken). In de slaapkamer is er een bewegingssensor waardoor je partner mee wakker wordt wanneer iemand opstaat om vb naar het wc te gaan. Huis ligt in een overstromingsgebied. Door de hevige regen stonden de straten blank en konden wij nergens met de wagen naar toe. Gelukkig was de volgende dag de weg vrij. In het dorpje is niet veel te beleven (ook geen bakker in dichte omgeving. ) Aalst ligt op 6 tal km.
