We stayed in May 2026.
Our stay at Alam Indah Ubud was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. We originally planned to stay for just 3 days, but loved it so much that we extended to 7 days — and still didn't want to leave.
The hotel is located in a lovely village just outside Ubud — the perfect location. You get all the peace of the surrounding jungle while still being close to the centre, just a 10–15 minute walk through the Monkey Forest.
The hotel feels like a natural extension of the forest. The gardens are stunning — lush, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of wildlife. Waking up there each morning felt magical.
Although officially 2-star, it does not feel like one at all. It feels timeless, authentic, elegant, and beautifully maintained. Everything was exceptionally clean, and every part of the property feels like a genuine Balinese experience rather than a generic tourist hotel.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and full of authentic Balinese charm. The staff were exceptional: warm, kind, attentive, and always happy to help.
The hotel's shuttle service into Ubud was incredibly handy for shopping, dinners, and exploring. The surrounding village also has fantastic bars and top-class restaurants nearby, and Kememai Laundry just a 5-minute walk away was a real convenience during a longer stay.
Alam Indah offers the perfect balance of nature, comfort, and authentic Balinese atmosphere. If you're visiting Ubud and want somewhere peaceful, beautiful, and memorable, I cannot recommend it highly enough

The beautiful surrounding forest, the amazing room set in tranquility and peaceful environment. The pool is amazing.

The property was so beautiful. The pool was amazing and monkeys passed by while swimming. The staff are so friendly. Breakfast was great. We had the perfect stay. Highly recommend!
