We had a great stay in this comfortable villa. This house is the perfect place to enjoy peace, tranquility, authenticity and fantastic views. We liked the lovely terrace and small garden with flowers, the light and airy look of the large open living room with the large window, the well equipped kitchen and Padmini the donkey. Driving on the island of Evia sometimes was a bit of an adventure with our little rental car (the road to the house also is a kind of bumpy dirt road), but we managed. And when we got stuck with our car on a very steep road, Eric was very helpful, he helped us out immediately and we are very thankful for that!

What a place! Perched on a hilltop overlooking the sea and Attica in the distance, this is a great place to enjoy calm and beauty. We spent almost two weeks in the winter, enjoying breakfast and lunches on the terrace, or sitting by the fire inside. South-Evia is gorgeous and authentic, allowing for lovely outings and more lunches, this time in little seaside towns and villages. The house is roomy, has a homely atmosphere, and Eric is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our friendship with donkey Padmini as well. Renting Erics four wheel drive is advisable, since the two kilometers unsurfaced road to the house are bumpy. All in all: highly recommended for people who love views and privacy!

We stayed here for a week with our large family and watched amazing sunsets every night. Eric went out of his way to help us arranging taxi's and even picked us up from another port when the ferries stopped runnning due to a storm. He arranged hire cars and was on hand if we needed. The Donkey was an extra treat for the kids, they fed him. although he was a very loud alarm clock and you have to watch he doesn't nip out of the gate when you are leaving or arriving. You can walk to a local beach which is very quiet and safe to swim its about 20 - 30 mins. The track up to the place is rough so not for the fainted hearted driving wise but excellent if you want peace and quite as their are not many people about. The local town is only 10 mins away in a car so dead easy to get supplies.

On arrival by ferry at Nea Styra we were met by the ever courteous and efficient Eric and followed him the short distance to Villa Phoenix.
If you are looking for bright lights and discos then this is not the place, however if you want peace & quiet with truly outstanding views from both the terrace and through the large picture window then this villa is ideal. It comes well equipped with a good kitchen, a very large living room and Minnie the house donkey who will wake late sleepers with loud demands for company/carrots.
For exploring the almost tourist free southern Evia or simply relaxing Villa Phoenix is the place.
