About this farm stay rental
Immersed in 200 hectares of private land with woods, gardens, centuries-old olive grove, panoramic vineyard and a park with 2 lakes, Pieve di Caminino Historic Farm offers only seven romantic independent, quiet and charming accommodation, embellished with historical paintings and antique furniture . The restyling was personally supervised by the owners, architects and art collectors. The size ranges from the small room for two "basic", with private patio, up to the apartment for four people with panoramic terrace. The ancient private village, located on a hill also has a swimming pool (seasonal opening, from June to October), shared only by the seven lodgings, from which you can admire the castle of Montemassi with its evocative sunsets. The hillside location offers panoramic views of the surroundings, dotted with vineyards and medieval villages. On a clear day you can even see the sea.
The accommodations in this ancient structure can be for 2, 3 or 4 people, and can be equipped with breakfast-snack corner or kitchenette or full kitchen, depending on the size. All have coffee pods, toasters, tea making facilities, refrigerators, and private bathrooms; the biggest ones also have a fireplace. Ofbi accommodation has its own private space furnished outside, which can be a patio, a balcony, a loggia or a terrace. In only two of the rooms, air conditioning can be requested, while Wi-Fi is always available, while TV and a choice of countryside and tranquility have not been installed. A radio with classical music CD is installed in every room and a library is available, focusing on Tuscany and its itineraries, flavors and wines. Guests are received by the owners, who live on the estate and are available for any need or information. Guests are welcomed in the hall of the former parish church, now a permanent museum, whose visit is reserved exclusively - on request - to the guests booked during the stay.
La Pieve di Caminino is an excellent "base camp" in the heart of southern Tuscany, surrounded by the romantic medieval hilltop villages of Montemassi, Roccatederighi, Sticciano, Montepescali, which offer tasty local trattorias. The nearby Ribolla settlement (5km - 3mi) offers a reference point for shopping at the supermarket, local wines, post office, tobacconists, banks, pharmacies and service stations. From Pieve di Caminino you can reach in about twenty minutes Massa Marittima (26km - 16Mi), splendid historical and cultural capital of southern Tuscany, with a magnificent cathedral and an excellent choice of wine bars and charming restaurants. At 34km (21mi) you reach the coast, Follonica, excellent for fresh seafood and nightlife, and Castiglione della Pescaia, for quiet scenic beaches and charming little restaurants. From the Pieve di Caminino you can also take day trips to Siena (60km - 37mi), Montalcino (56km - 34mi), Bolgheri (78km - 48mi), Pitigliano, Saturnia, Sorano and Sovana (around 90km - 55mi), Florence ( 130km - 80mi). IMPORTANT: pets are allowed upon request and acceptance of our rules.

Utterly amazing place! Historic, beautiful, great location, friendly and clean. Felt like living in luxury in a centuries old former church. The museum alone is worth the price. And the hist, Emy, us so friendly, helpful and available. Can't recommend highly enough.

Emiliano (Emy) is an amazingly friendly and generous proprietor. He is living on the same premises and is very helpful in case you have any questions.We stayed in the Sacristy (yes, you read correctly) which is conveniently cool even without air-conditioning.Very quite surrounding apart from the frogs at night which make some "music" but you barely hear it inside.There are some mosquitos, so you better protect yourselves in the evening hours.Absolutely recommendable!
