Domaine de Matounet

Endroit super calme, entouré de verdure, jolie vue sur le château de Bridoré. Permet de visiter quelques jolis châteaux et de profiter de cette jolie région. Piscine au top. Propriétaire super chaleureux et de bon conseil. Chien tout sympa. La maison 2 chambres est équipée du nécessaire pour un séjour relax.

Wifi parfois un peu capricieux pour des adolescents (moins dérangeant pour leurs parents 😅).

Nothing to not like

Very laid back quiet location. Not far from Loches which is worth a visit. Pretty sleepy villages around.

The staircase could be a challenge as it was a very tight spiral one.

Beautiful, quiet and restful location with a super view of the local chateau. Much enjoyed heated outdoor pool which is looked after daily. Property is spacious, cool on a hot day, was clean on arrival. Very comfy beds! Owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful + speak reasonable English. There is also a games room with lots of kit. No excuse for children to be bored. Despite some of the criticism above I would recommend this place especially if you are seeking a rustic style escape from the hustle and bustle of town or suburban life.

Intermittent problem with the electric oven tripping the mains switch. Hopefully will be sorted in time for persons next to stay. Pots, pans, plates etc resembled a random selection of odds and ends from a charity shop, more thought could have been given to this. There is also no kettle. The kitchen kit is ok, but wooden kitchen top needs replacing as it is tired and rotting round the sink. Overall some might say property is rustic, others might say lacking a bit of class. Also, shame that nearby village, Bridore, has no boulangerie. Nearest bread stop is a 5 minute drive away.
