The steep driveway, but it took 1 attempt to feel ok about it and it does enable THOSE views!

Everything we needed

The views and seating area at the front is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. It’s a large space, neat and tidy bathroom and kitchen with everything you need and a thoughtful breakfast provided. Comfy bed with a couch and dining area. Great value.

There’s not much I didn’t like. There is a steep winding driveway which was a little difficult but not really an issue.

The property was lovely and clean, and could not be faulted on location and amenities. Bed was super soft and comfy. Everything worked.

The only issue we had was around privacy. The description mentions it being a private space, but on arrival we saw signage saying the owners (who live upstairs) may need to access the hallway between the living area and bathroom to get to their storage. They do say they’ll knock first and that it’s very rare, but because the access point is between the living area and bathroom, it didn’t feel completely private. For example, after a shower I felt like I had to get dressed straight away rather than being able to just walk through comfortably, and at night I also felt the need to dress properly just to use the bathroom. The other thing worth mentioning is noise. As the owners live upstairs, we could hear normal household sounds like talking (not clear words), coughing, sliding doors, and footsteps above our heads until about 10:00–10:30 at night. It wasn’t extreme, but it did make it harder to get to sleep early.
