Great hosts, answered any questions before and during our stay very quicklyLocation is excellent, very close to the beautiful city if Caen, the D-Day beaches, many beautiful towns and villages in the region.It was a fantastic place for us to take our daughters family as they had one bedroom wing whilst we have the main bedroom out of earshot The garden is enormous and the new playground in the village is a huge bonus for families with young kids Plenty of space inside also for a multi-generation holiday

The last 3 weeks we spent our summer family vacation in St Contest and found it wonderful.
The house is very spacious with a huge kitchen equipped with all the stuff one needs for food preparation (oven, microwave, hot plates etc.) and even features a dishwasher. Both the kitchen and the living room offer additional doors to access the huge garden. We liked especially the master bedroom with a private bathroom to it. Next to this also the other rooms were sized well and some hidden closets made it easy to put away travel stuff. Even though we did not use it a lot we still found the quiet area on the attic really nice. The kids also loved the little playing are in the living room. All in the house is a very neat place to stay and offers a lot of space. The quiet surrounding also make it a relaxing place, for usually there is hardly any traffic noise. Instead we enjoyed lots of birds which seem to like the Redwoodtree and even were able to spot some bats - really cool.
We undertook various trips by car to the nearer area, like:
Caen - right next to it
Mont St Michel, Honfleur - ~1.5hrs, Swiss Normandy, Etretat, Carentan, Viaduc de la Souleuvre ~1hr, beaches, war sites, Breche au Diable, Festyland and more within 30-45min => so really a lot to do and see.
Dominique and Olivier were welcoming us on arrival and are very(!) kind people and even gave us a little welcome gift =) They also supported us, if we faced a challenge.
We can only recommend the place to others!
