If you are visiting Mostar and don’t stay at David’s Hostel, you are truly missing out. I have been traveling the world for five months now, and I have rarely felt as welcomed and at home as I did here.
The Hosts: From Strangers to Family
The manager David, his friend Tarek, and David’s father Pedja are some of the most hospitable and genuine people I have ever met. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like a member of the family. The atmosphere is so authentic and warm that my planned two nights quickly turned into five and after a short trip to Sarajevo, I’m already heading back for more nights. You simply feel at home immediately.
Pedja’s Tour: A Highlight of My Travels
You absolutely must join the guided tour led by Pedja. Forget those rushed, commercial tours you find elsewhere. This felt like cruising down the open road with an older family member—Bosnian music on the speakers, zero stress, and great vibes. It’s more than a tour; it’s a lesson in Bosnian culture and respect. It’s an experience that transforms into a story you’ll be telling everyone you meet on your journey.
The Ultimate Recommendation:
I would honestly visit Bosnia and Herzegovina again just to stay at David’s Hostel. It is rare to find a place where you feel this comfortable and cared for.

Well located - oretty close to the bus station and old city.
