Perle am Rhein

It's only a couple of minutes on foot from the rail station to this fine little family-run hotel keeping watch over the River Rhine. Very friendly and professional owner/manager. Traditional German feel to the entire facility. Handsomely-decorated breakfast/dining room with big windows and great views to the river. Breakfast was very good - great basket of Brötchen + deli items, with a Kännchen of hot coffee (or tea,) with juice, yogurt, eggs, muesli available on request. My smallish single room was tidy and clean had a small balcony and chair with a terrific view of the river and Liebenstein Castle on the opposite cliffside. Windows are sound-proof - no audible road/riverboat/train noise. Nice little coffee maker too. A chain grocery store is within walking distance of the hotel entrance. VRM Guest Ticket for free transport comes with the room.

This place seems to do everything right. Breakfast begins at 08:00, later than I prefer. But it was worth waiting for.

The location is wonderful and very quiet! The owners made our stay very special and helped us celebrate my friend’s birthday.

It would be nice if wash cloths were supplied. But certainly not a deal breaker.

Besonders schön war der herzliche Umgang: Die individuelle Begrüßung, Betreuung und Versorgung für uns als Wanderer wird lange im Gedächtnis bleiben! Außerdem die Aussicht auf die Burgen am anderen Rheinufer vom Bett aus!

Das Haus ist älter - es hat definitiv nostalgischen Charme. Wer auf modernes Ambiente mehr Wert legt als auf herzlichen Umgang ist hier falsch.
