About this villa rental
La Leopoldina is a restored historic villa from the era of Grand Duke Leopold II, blending original charm with eco-friendly systems like solar energy and geothermal cooling. Set in the peaceful Florentine countryside just 14 km from the city center, it offers an authentic Tuscan retreat enriched by private chef services, cooking classes, wine tastings, and exclusive experiences.
ACCOMMODATION: The villa comfortably accommodates 15 guests (11 in the main villa and 4 in the adjacent dependance) in a beautifully restored setting. The main villa is arranged over two floors:
On the ground floor, you'll find a spacious living/dining room with direct access to a panoramic terrace, a breakfast room, and a professional kitchen. This level also includes a double bedroom (convertible into twins) with an ensuite bathroom equipped for guests with disabilities, as well as a single bedroom with a half bathroom next door.
The first floor offers four elegant bedrooms:

▪️A king-size bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower + bathtub);
▪️A double bedroom (or twin, on request) with ensuite bathroom (shower);
▪️A double bedroom (or twin, on request) with ensuite bathroom (shower + bathtub).
At the top of the villa, the former pigeonry has been transformed into a charming music room/office, boasting a 360° view over the surrounding countryside.
Adjacent to the villa is the dependance (60 m²) with a living room with kitchenette (and fireplace), a double bedroom (or two single beds, on request) with private bathroom with bathtub, and a double bedroom (or two single beds, on request) with private bathroom with shower.

GARDEN AND SWIMMING POOL: The villa features a beautiful 6 x 12 meter swimming pool (depth 1.20 to 2.80 m), open from April to October. For added peace of mind, the pool area is fully fenced with a wooden railing and gate, making it safer for families with children. A convenient poolside bathroom with shower is also available for guests.
The outdoor spaces reflect the charm of the Tuscan countryside, with a garden filled with centuries-old olive trees. A lovely covered BBQ area with table and chairs—also equipped with a wood-fired pizza oven—invites you to enjoy relaxed outdoor meals.

🪪 Security deposit (payable upon arrival): Euro 1,000.00 in cash or credit card (will be returned upon departure, provided no damage has been caused by the guests).
🌿 The rental price includes all essential comforts to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay. Guests are provided with towels and bed linen, with a mid-week change for weekly reservations, as well as one pool towel per person per week. Daily cleaning is also included, performed by two staff members for two hours each day (excluding Sundays and public holidays).
❄️ Please note that the air-refresh system is powered by geothermal energy. This technology allows the indoor temperature to remain approximately 10–12°C cooler than the outside temperature. For example, if the temperature outdoors is 30°C, the inside of the house will be kept at around 19–20°C.

Our extended family of 10 stayed for 8 nights at this Villa in early June - we had the most amazing stay and a wonderful experience with the hosts of the property, Paolo and Giulia. Paolo served as our liaison prior to arrival and Giulia took over as point of contact at arrival and while we were there. Both Paolo and Giulia were always very prompt in answering any questions we had and always gave great recommendations and information when we asked. The villa is impeccably clean and included was (2 hours/2 ladies) housekeeping every day except for Sunday/Holidays - so each day when we arrived back to the Villa from a day out sightseeing, we came back to a clean home! The beds were all very comfortable and what we really appreciated was that all of the “double” bedrooms (7) had 2 twin size beds that could be either separated or pushed together to be made into a king size bed (American size king, maybe larger even) - that was important to us since we had 3 married couples that are used to the larger king sized beds that we have in the U.S.
The bedrooms were all very large and each had its own en-suite bathroom which was so nice not to have to share bathrooms with other couples.
The kitchen was well equipped and had most everything we needed - the pool/backyard was amazing! - we also hired the chefs to cook dinner for us one night and that was money well spent I thought. The food was delicious and it was as nice to have everyone together!

This is an absolutely stunning property - the pool and outdoor area is gorgeous and it has beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. The property and furnishings are all very high quality and all of the bedrooms are an excellent size with ensuite bathrooms. The only slight difficulty is that the property is not that easy to find (particularly if you need to get taxis from the property) and the road leading directly to the property is quite narrow and uneven. However, we had an excellent stay here and would definitely recommend it for larger groups as it is very easy to entertain and very well equiped.

Family members and close friends accompanied me to Leopoldino west United States for a special celebration. From the very start of our arranging to stay at this spectacular villa, my experience was incredible. Paolo was the representative of the rental
company. I could not have asked for a more gracious, patient, accommodating guide through this process. This stay was a very important event for me and I was probably a bit like an intense bride to be who had been anticipating a perfect wedding her whole life🙂. Yet Paolo was pleasant and professional through it all. Our host Giulia was also a delight and very attentive to our needs. From the initial tour to the checkout, she was fun, funny and very competent. She quickly responded to any queries and requests throughout our state. The property was immaculate and maintained that way by the team of housekeepers who were there daily to freshen the linens, clean the bathrooms and once even did the dishes, which we couldn’t believe. The grounds man Simone was friendly, hard working and helpful. They provided the perfect balance of attentiveness with courteous respect of our privacy. back to the Villa. The decor was very fresh and elegant in all the shared areas. The cookware, and tableware was quality and ample. This was important to us because we made many feasts for our group and other family who were staying in a neighboring villa. I wish they had a gas range, or induction top, but we figured things out on the electric cook top.
