About this cottage rental
The hamlet of Levert (all four houses) is situated at the head of the Vallée de l'Aspre, just below the Col de St Georges.
This delightful semi-detached cottage, with all the accommodation to be found on the ground floor, has been newly renovated. It includes a spacious living room leading to a good sized kitchen diner, a double bedroom with king size bed and a fully tiled wet room/shower. Outside there is a large garden, including a wooden decking for outside eating and a small courtyard in front of the house. Laundry facilities and storage space is found in one of the old converted piggeries. Sun loungers, cushions, and BBQ are also provided. Whilst canine guests are welcome, please note that the garden is not entirely enclosed. Please note there is no wifi or internet connection in the house.
Unfortunately, the property is not accessible to disabled visitors with reduced mobility or who use a wheelchair, as there is a step to enter the house and a step up or down between rooms.
The cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy the many outdoor activities available. There are walks to suit all levels, from 1 hour easy terrain walks to more challenging GR tracks. Mountain bikers and road cyclists are also well catered for with an impressive network of tracks and quiet lanes. It is also possible to try paragliding, canoeing, canyoning, via ferrata and swimming.
Cultural pursuits include amongst other things, a selection of chateaux, museums and in August the renowned street theatre festival in Aurillac.
The house is in a very rural setting which is extremely calm and tranquil but does mean that the local supermarkets and commerce are approximately half an hour away. There are small 'epiceries' in Fontanges and St Martin Valmeroux for basics.

Situé dans un hameau paisible et bien placé pour la découverte du Cantal, ce cottage offre tout ce qui est nécessaire au séjour. Hannah a veillé à de nombreux détails pour rendre les vacances agréables et nous a même donné des conseils de sorties. Merci d’avoir mis à disposition les guides de balades et autres bonnes adresses.

Endroit idéalement situé pour rayonner sur les monts du Cantal et pour randonner. Propriété très calme, aucun voisin sur 2 kilomètres à la ronde pendant une semaine.
Gîte bien équipé.
Hannah nous a très bien accueillis et on vous remercie encore pour votre sympathie.

Le gite est situé dans un hameau au cœur d'une vallée fermée. Calme assuré et nature préservée. Mais l'inconvénient est l'éloignement des commerces et des départs de randonnées. Voiture indispensable!
