On holyday with family and friends. Half way between Como and Bellagio, an old house with many rooms, a garden and a beautiful terrace with enchanting view on the lake, secluded and quiet but not isolated. Furnished with elegant charm and equipped as a first home, can accommodate up to eight people.

We enjoyed our stay in Nesso very much. The house has a wonderful feel about it and is very attractive (fun to experience living in place with so much character) - wonderfully shabby chic. we enjoyed the open plan kitchen/eating area so someone could be cooking while the other longed on the sofa in the eating area. The view from the deck was lovely and the deck space is large and very private. Also, as it was warm out, we appreciated that it is shaded most of the day so we could sit outside in comfort. We also liked that the house is in a quiet setting and the thick walls kept it cool inside - so after been out and about, it was nice to return to the cool, quiet setting of the house. Although one can take a ferry from Nesso, it is a longish hike up/down the hill to get to the ferry. Having a car was helpful and we appreciated the private parking space provided although were glad we only had a small car (it would be tough to get a larger car through the narrow street to get to the parking). With a car we were able to drive to Bellagio and from there walk on the more frequent ferries to the towns in the middle part of Lake Como. We enjoyed renting ebikes from Bike it! Belagio and touring around that was also.

Sehr charmantes, individuell eingerichtetes Haus in der Randlage eines ruhigen Dorfes. Die Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen, toller Blick auf den See und schöner Garten. Das Haus liegt etwas 100 Höhenmeter über dem See.
Toller Startpunkt für MTB oder Rennradtouren. Wenn man schwimmen oder Wassersport machen möchte ist es etwas mühsam, da die in den Reiseführern beschriebenen Badestellen klein, steinig und mühsam erreichbar sind. Ohne Auto ehr schwierig.

Sehr nett und hilfreich in der Planungsphase. Das Verwalterehepaar hat uns bei der Anreise zum Haus im Dunklen gelotst und durch die engen Gassen, sogar noch beim Tragen des Gepäcks geholfen. Sehr freundlich.
Schönes tolle und ursprüngliches Haus im Dorf, ca 25mm Zugang durch eine Gasse von einer kleinen befahrbaren Strasse (aber kein Verkehr). Wohnräume wie auf Bildern, teils etwas ab gewohnt, aber alles sauber. Uns hat der Sonnenschirm auf der Terrasse gefehlt. Die beiden Einzelbetten waren nicht gut, hatte hier schon mal jemand schlecht bewertet. Nicht gut für den Rücken ... gut, es gab eine Ausweichmöglichkeit ins Untergeschoss, aber das war am Ende doch keine gewünschte Lösung.
Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den See vermisse ich ... sowohl morgens früh als auch im Dunklen ein Highlight.
Empfehlenswert, ausser man hat ein großes Auto, meins ist 470cm und ein SUV. Auch ängstliche Fahrer sollten sich es überlegen. Unsere Tochter hat sich nicht getraut da raus und rein zu fahren. Bis zum vorletzten Tag bin ich unfallfrei durch die schmalen Gassen gekommen grrrr. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, dass wir das Haus noch mal besuchen ...

The location is stunning with views from the terrace across the Lake and down on the lovely hillside village of Nesso. We had a great 3 week stay in the quirky house, where Mira the house manager was more than helpful and available if required. The house is well equipped if you choose to cook, though we didn’t. We felt that the indoor and outdoor furniture could have been more comfortable, including the main double bed.There are 2 well stocked mini markets quite close by 100-200m down the steps, 2 bars about the same distance and a restaurant an easy 300m walk - open for dinner and some lunches, others are lower down the steep village hill.Nesso is a pretty and quaint village, but very very hilly. The walk down the very steep steps and alleyways to the ferry port, Google estimated at 17mins. Coming back up was quite hard for two quite fit seniors, requiring rest breaks along with other tourists.The roads on the Nesso side of the lake to Como or Bellagio are very narrow. As an experienced driver in Italy, our Fiat Panda was about the largest car I would drive there. 15km to Como often took 30mins mostly in 3rd gear. Equally the little road from the main road to the private car park was less than 2m wide, (there is a warning sign at the turn in) with very few (but some) passing places. Car parking spaces around the different levels of the windy road through Nesso are at a premium. We never found one in the 3 weeks stay in early June. It’s a great for exploring the Lake.
