An ancient, 18th- century villa, recently restored, situated in a splendid position dominating the green hills of Mugello (north of Florence), only 3 km from Vicchio, the birthplace of Giotto and Beato Angelico. The area is rich in vegetation and is ideal for relaxing stays and interesting excursions to the towns of historic interest nearby. In a dominant position, it enjoys a marvelous view of the surrounded valleys. The location of the villa rental makes it easy to reach the main places of interest of the region, such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Lucca. There are also train connections, leaving from the station of Vicchio and at Barberino del Mugello the Designer Outlet shopping mall is worth a visit, with its 100 shops of the best brands. The holiday home is surrounded by a large, fenced-in park of about 10,000 m2 with age-old trees and has a wide terrace with a pergola equipped with tables and chairs and a swimming pool (5x12, 1.20-2-20m deep)(01/05-30/09) open from 7.00am to midnight) for the guests’ exclusive use. The holiday house, on two floors, is comfortably furnished with period furniture and some of the authentic decorations. Included in the price are wi-fi Internet connection and 2 baby beds. Central heating. Car park on the property.

We absolutely loved staying at this gorgeous villa in Vicchio! The whole house and grounds are overwhelmingly beautiful whilst being full of character and history. I don't think it's possible for pictures to do this house the real justice it deserves.
Federica and Lorenzo were so helpful in making sure that our visit was absolutely perfect. On our second night, they helped us to hire a chef for a traditional Tuscan dinner. The food was incredible and the whole evening was perfect! I would definitely recommend doing this while you are staying here as it is very special!
The only downside of the whole trip was that, with beautiful countryside views come mosquitoes. Definitely bring some repellent spray with you as they are very eager to get involved with the fun!
