About this villa rental
Classic farm house in the 800 independent position on a hill, completely surrounded by nature and surrounded by olive and cypress trees; The Villa has been recently restored preserving the original architectural features. The Mugello countryside is the land of the Medici and the cradle of ancient tastes while nearness to Florence and the highway can easily reach all the cities of Tuscany. '
The caretaker and the owner have a small annex at their disposal near the entrance gate of the property.
Arrive at the Villa San Martino is very easy, is located 3 kilometers from the exit of Mugello Valley and reach Florence is nice, because the scenic route to get there and one of the most beautiful in Tuscany and 35 minutes to reach the center, down to Florence, you get to see the Cathedral (il Duomo) from the distant hills.
Otherwise there is 8 km from the house a small station and a train every hour, just as small, goes directly to the main station of Florence in 30 minutes.
Travelers who make their holidays in Villa San Martino enjoy the ideal climate of the Villa back from a day trip to the art cities of Tuscany (Florence at the beginning, then Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo, Pistoia and Prato), the pool with the right temperature of water, meat grilled at the pool, walks in the park and surrounding areas (you can find small wild animals and also collect mushrooms), the big house for a large group, the cool and quiet rooms for a good relaxing sleep.
And certainly the owner may propose alternative routes and charming to visit the best of Florence and Tuscany.

The dishes to be sampled are the 'Tortelli di potato' (a kind of ravioli filled with potato terrre). Traditionally, the 'Tortelli' are served with a beef stew, but also with a porcini mushroom sauce, rabbit, duck or with a simple tomato sauce loved by children.
Even the meat, the famous Florentine steak, can be purchased with the right shape in every butcher in the Valle and cooked in barbercue.

7 adults enjoyed an eight day visit. An unexpected heat wave made the pool really stand out. Luca & wife are very friendly hosts. They were unobtrusive, helped with questions and local recommendations. It took a couple of days to get used to the drive up/down the mountain but better each day. Queen mattresses & sheets were great. We ate most meals at the villa, indoors outdoors.

This villa was an amazing place for our two families to stay. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. We loved the pool and the location. Luca and Patrizia were great hosts and very helpful. It was a dream!
