A friend and I stayed here for 1 night so we could see the last post ceremony.
The hotel is ideally located a minute or two to walk to the Menin Gate – the Last Post starts around 8pm but get there at least 30 minutes before if you want the best view as it gets busy.
The hotel is more or less opposite the Ypres Museum and the In Flanders Fields museum and the Grote Markt where we parked our car.
Check in was quick and easy, the room was fine - a comfortable bed and a nice, clean bathroom.
Breakfast was a more than ample buffet with selections to meet most requirements.
Because we were there only for 1 night, we didn’t spend much time in the hotel, but I have no problem in recommended the hotel for people visiting the town.

This hotel is on the town square and offers great views from the upper floor rooms. The lady who booked us in went out of her way to give us a room overlooking the square. Breakfast was good with a number of selections. A five minute walk to the Menin Gate for the Last Post at 8pm. Not as moving as I thought it would be. Three men marched on played their bugles and marched off, no dialogue and was told by one man removing the pedestrian barriers "That's it the show's over". I wasn't there for a "show", I was there to pay my respects to all those whose lives were senselessly wasted. Watched the Christmas Tractor parade, a must to see. All the large tractors covered in lights and decorations, sounding loud airhorns parading round the square, just spectacular. There were about 50 tractors in all. Certainly would stay there again.
