The location was super, right in the middle of the historic city. It was a short walk from the train station. It was priced correctly. I stayed for 2 nights so I could visit St. Mont Michel by shuttle. (I would've visited the Bayeux Tapestry, but the building is under renovation.) As advertised, the Petite House is "petite". As a single, it worked fine, but 2 nights would've been my limit. It was well equipped so if you wished to cook, you could. It was a good experience.
The only thing that I did not like was the steep stairway to the second floor bedroom. It was, for me, particularly scary in the middle of the night to go downstairs to the bathroom. (Full disclosure-I'm 75.)

Authentic cottage by the canal. Very step stairs to bedroom. Close to township and laundromat.
There was a slight smell, but we understood it was from the age of the building and having the canal beside it.

good location with restaurants and close to the tourists spots
it is a historical house with smells and have to be very careful taking up and down to the bedroom with the narrow stairs as the toilet is down ! The washing basin is too shallow , just good enough to wash hands !
