Stunning location in Abruzzo. Easy access from three airports - Pescara, Ancona, Rome. Near beautiful sandy beaches, medieval hilltop towns, mountains.
This modern villa has been restored from an older property and completely upgraded with new appliances and furniture, and painted throughout. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is a washing machine. Outside there is a small barbecue. It is perfectly safe for small children. Situated between two villages on its own hilltop yet it is within easy reach of all amenities. It is on three floors, has a very large patio (floodlit for night time dining) with dipping pool and also a roof terrace for evening dining, overlooking the mountains. Balconies from the bedrooms give privacy and extra space. Our only neighbours are the sheep from the nearby farm which makes and sells its own sheep and goat cheese. Please note pool is now slightly different and is oblong in shape. Please note also there is an extra charge for heating in the colder months. At end July, and in August, it can be very hot at nighttime particularly in the top bedroom. Fly screens throughout. Please note there is now aircon in one bedroom at extra cost if used.

We had the MOST wonderful 10 day stay in Valerie's, comfortable and well-loved house. The photos absolutely do not do it justice. The house is situated in the most beautiful setting, the terrace is perfect and we watched the mind blowing sunsets there every evening. It was so so nice to have the pool to dip in and the deckchairs for lounging! We cooked most days in the kitchen which had everything we needed. The ricotta from the farm at the end of the lane was really delicious - we ate like Kings!We fell in love with Abruzzo while we were there - the house is really well situated for hiking in the Apennines, accessing the Trabocchi coast and visiting other beautiful lakes and hilltop villages.Valerie was a superb host - she gave us lots of detailed information about getting to the house and things to do in the local area. No question/query was too small!!

We have family about 30 min away. The location was perfect. We did get a little lost finding the villa but the host Valerie helped us all the way. Valerie was amazing she couldn’t do any more for us. I would recommend not arriving in the dark unless you know the area. The views are amazing you could never get bored! You will need a car to get around the roads are so quiet and so smooth to drive on (we have lots of pi holes were we live). Great if you love cycling like my partner he rented a bike in francavilla. Would go back again

We loved staying at the Serramonacesca house…such a peaceful place in the most spectacular setting. We could happily spend our time on the back terrace overlooking the glorious countryside; and we made our way up the circular staircase every night for appetizers and then dinner, enveloped by the sunset and then watching the lights of Manopello go on, one by one. But there was so much else to do, within easy reach of the house, that we loved this too; and Valerie went above and beyond as a host, constantly available , responsive, and full of excellent advice, from details on anything we asked, down to the best local back roads to take. Special thanks to you, Valerie.

Me and my wife stayed at Casa Maya in July 2017 for ten wonderful days.The views all around the villa are simply stunning, especially from the third floor terrace, a must see.The property is totally private, unlike a lot of properties that are for rent which are adjacent to the owners property, Casa Maya is without doubt total privacy.We struggled to go out sight seeing for the first few days as we simply didnt want to do anything else except enjoy the property and its amenities.Supermarkets were a fifteen minute drive away in Scafa or Manoppello Scalo, which had all the provisions you required.We ate out at Lu Gattone which is a very short drive away, the food was traditional Italian food served in a very homely and friendly atmosphere, very good food and prices, the owner was tremendously friendly. Also ate in Manopello Scalo at Ristorante De Guilda , where the food again was very good, where we also had the most delicious bottle of pecorino we have ever had.Casa Maya had all the amenities we could need or want and was very clean and tidy.I would not hesitate to recommend this property.Valerie the owner was very helpful in terms of directions and local amenities, and was always available at the other end of the phone if needed.The local farmer serves fresh cheese but unfortunately we didnt seem to be able to time catching them, maybe next time.RegardsAndy Adcroft
