About this cottage rental
A cosy cottage for three people situated in the heart of Ryde, just a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. This tastefully decorated Victorian semi-detached cottage is also in an excellent location for guests arriving on foot, with good train, bus and ferry links nearby. Offering one double and one single bedroom, this property is perfect for families and couples alike. The outside area offers a decked courtyard ideal for al-fresco dining after a busy day exploring all the island has to offer.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this compact, convenient and quiet property. It was only a short walk to the Esplanade and the Bus Station, which suited us well as we came by train. It seems a well-loved property where we quickly felt at home. We are in our eighties so pluses for us were toilets on both floors and a very comfortable double bed. A minus was the chairs in the sitting room which were very low. We also found the outside sitting area not very appealing as it was so small and shady.
Two small things that might need addressing by the owner:
1)It was very hard to put the keys in the key safe as they were so bulky - in fact, when we arrived we found them on top of the safe. There were two keys on the ring which didn’t seem to serve any purpose and which we left off during our stay.
2) On the Tuesday evening the smoke alarm went off for a few minutes for no apparent reason. We wondered whether this was a regular test of the system? If it was, it would have been good to be forewarned! If not, maybe the alarm needs to be looked at.

House was bigger than expected and had everything we needed. Conveniently situated for town,seafront and plenty of things to do nearby.
Parking was by permit and not on Bellevue Road but we always managed to find a space not too far away.
Would definitely return and recommend the property for couples and small families.

Lovely house near everything. When parking, the house is inR1 and all the nearest parking is in R2, so try for permits there.The staff at lettings were very helpful and quick to answer our queryOur only bugbear was the not very good electric shower, but that did not spoil the week.
