In the centre of the small hamlet of Scalvaia, 500 above sea level, the house is a delightful newly restored house with private pool and garden.Scalvaia is a small village with only 70 inhabitants right at the border between Siena and Grosseto province, just 10 minutes drive from San Galgano Abbey and only 35 kms from Siena. The region will appeal to nature-lovers as the woodlands, meadows and streams teem with bird and wildlife.
The house is 160 square meters and is surrounded by a green lawn. The garden around the house is completely fenced and parking space is provided inside the property through a gate. The 5 x 10 m swimming pool, seasonal opening,enjoys pockets of sun and shade as does the natural al fresco dining terrace. The house retains it's rustic character and charm with beamed ceilings and antique tiles and the furnishings are nice and comfortable.In Scalvaia you can find a good restaurant and pizzeria, all walking distance from the house. Close by the house there is a tennis court, not in use. Twice a year, by the tennis court, it takes place the small festival of the village, to eat typical Tuscan food and good local wine.Monticiano with supermarkets, and several shops and restaurants is only 8 kms away, Follonica and the beach 47 kms and Florence 100 kms.

Barbecue available.Going up 8 steps you reach the first floor where you can find a bathroom with shower. 8 more steps lead to the upper floor where you can find 2 double bedded rooms, 2 single bedrooms and one large bathroom with tub and one with shower. One single room has a lovely terrace with nice views.
The price includes water, gas, electricity, linen changed weekly , the use of the pool, wi-fi, baby bed on request, washing machine . To pay extra and on the premises: central heating upon use, extra bed, final cleaning, inventory deposit, pets cleaning, maid service on request, local tax.

We had such a great time here! The house is beautiful, with a large and closed garden where our dog could run freely. The pool was stunning and gave us many relaxing moments under the Tuscan sun. We felt immediately welcome. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the host and toasted together to a great holiday. During our stay, any questions we had were answered quickly and kindly. A place to look back on and hopefully to return to one day!

We had a fantastic two-week stay with our (extended) family.The house is perfect for three couples – each had their own bedroom, bathroom, and toilet.We didn’t need the extra room with two single beds.The house is even better than it looks in the photos.It has everything you need – spotlessly clean and very practically laid out.Beautiful Roman-style pool with plenty of loungers, a garden dining set, and a large tree providing lots of shade.The covered terrace next to the kitchen was the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner with views of the pool and garden, which is beautifully lit in the evening.The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need.There’s also a washing machine, ironing board, and iron.The large clothesline in the garden was also very convenient.The house was immaculate, and Pierluigi gave us the warmest welcome we’ve ever received.He was always available for any questions and was happy to share tips about the area.Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely stay at La Pergola. We were greeted at the property by Alessio who toured us through the house and hosted us to a warm welcome. The property had lots of room for our group of 8. The host directed us to some wonderful sites in the region and made arrangements for us to dine at the Scalvaia restaurant. That is an experience that you should not miss. The food was fantastic. We found the help at the property to be prompt and supportive. The pool was a huge hit for us all as the summer can be warm. It was a big addition to the holiday to cool off in the afternoon. They made us feel at home and welcome in the property. We would definitely stay at La Pergola again if we are looking for a great experience in the Tuscany region.
