The cabin is located in a quiet rural area near Volcanoes NP. Out of the crowds, but only 20 minutes to the park and 15 to the village of Volcano. The hosts are terrific and very accommodating. The cabin itself is small but cosy and well laid out. We loved listening to the frogs singing in the evening and the birds first thing in the morning. Breakfast outside on the deck was extra special….and there are throw blankets and bathrobes if there’s a chill in the morning.
Really nothing. Some guests might not like the gravel backroads, but this is Hawaii.

Very comfortable with all the basics. If you are considering staying here be sure to read the description carefully. It is very compact! However, it is cute, comfortable, and has everything needed. The dresser handles came off the dresser during our stay. Hope they were repaired!
The crowing "jungle fowl" (aka chickens). They are, though, now ubiquitous and there is little that can be done about them. It is also a bit of a drive too Volcano Village and the park on very rutted dirt roads. Again, not a criticism, but be aware.

We really enjoyed the outdoor living and kitchen area. Very cool that the Oasis Eco Lodge was a sustainable accommodation. We enjoyed listening to the many frogs in the evening and night. The location was excellent for our plans to visit the nearby Volcano National Park, Hilo, and waterfalls in the area. The hosts were very friendly too.
There was nothing we didn’t like during our stay at the Eco Lodge; we enjoyed hearing the roosters and hens (in the morning). Reminded me of when I was young raising chickens. However, a couple of times the nearby roosters started crowing about 2 am or 3 am so a bit early for us 😁

Relaxing, private, immaculately clean, and convenient. The place was very cozy and thoughtfully decorated with all of the comforts of home in an adorable little cabin.
