Anchor Inn Motel by Loyalty

The check-in Room when looking in is a real mess and had a negative impression of the facility.

Anchor is good

Our room was squeaky clean and bright with glimpses of the water. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge was quiet and efficient. We had also a microwave and a coffee tray as well as a table and chair in the room. We loved the extra-corner in which we could place our luggage without cluttering up the room. Toiletries and a hairdryer completed the bathroom that had a small sliding window. The location is about 5 minutes' walk from the historical center (including breakfast options) and very quiet. Perfect for an overnighter.

Due to the size of the room, there was only one night stand with a lamp above. Another lamp on the other side of the bed would have been perfect. The very loud and blasting AC has to be upped to the 80s in order to achieve the 70s, and the bathroom is simply cold and gets steamed up quickly, therefore. No fan in there; I used the hair dryer ... The check-in feels a bit like a hole-in-the wall and, as a first impression, simply has to up its appearances (staff was very friendly, though).

The location was pretty good. Easy walk to downtown Blaine and shopping/ restaurants. The hotel was fairly comfortable.

Parking was pretty tight and walls/ windows seemed thin. I heard everything within 2 rooms and outside- which was awful. There was a group of workers or something staying there- not sure how many. They started yelling at each other and talking about fighting and killing each other. I don't think anything serious happened, but they kept me awake for hours. Then around 2:30am, more loud talking laughing and arguing. Not the hotel's fault, but really disappointing.
