There was an extreme heat wave, so we arrived in time for a refreshing swim in the large pool that worked for us. It's not fancy but it seemed clean. The manager was welcoming, kind, and informative. We had all we needed in the rudimentary though clean room, enabling us to have a great 6 pm visit to the park as well as seeing the sunrise there the next morning. The hotel's location so close to the park was key.

This quaint roadside motel was everything we needed, spotlessly clean and walking distance to the heart of the town of Joshua Tree. Do not expect modern or updated - expect a trip back in time, exceptional customer service by Ravi the manager, a clean, deep pool and all the basics. We will be back!

Dirty and overall very outdated. The photo I am including is the tabletop of the nightstand right next to the bed. I saw what looked like a bloodstain on the surface. I wondered if it was permanent. I got some toilet paper from the bathroom, wetted it with tap water and wiped the nightstand down and with not much effort the dried blood came right off. This made it clear to me that they are not even trying to keep the rooms clean. I also saw debris and what looked like large food crumbs on the floor. It’s overpriced for what it is. Plus, the internet was very unstable. I complained to the front desk. They seemed to fix it but for my two nights I stayed there I didn’t have decent internet access. If I ever come back to the area I would not stay at this motel again.
