Sandy Cove Inn

Was a unique and quirky experience. It’s definitely sort of an old motel vibe, but my teenager adored the vintage aesthetic and it was a short walk to the beach. Such a good value if you don’t mind a bit of a musty smell and outdated building.

It is what it is. Could have been a bit cleaner but I always carry wipes. Could have had some paint spots fixed up.

Great location. Friendly service. Had all the basics needed: shampoo, conditioner, soap and towels in bathroom and a dorm fridge with a drip coffee maker) the front desk had hairdryers to borrow, thank goodness. I will stay again but in a different room. Too bad I didn't see the actual room details before I booked it.

Room #13 specifically, it was an okay stay overall but could use a bit of a face-lift: it was small with a low ceiling (my 6' tall BF was pretty close to the ceiling so tall folks beware) it was good for one night but I'll never stay in that room again. It smelled "old"/stuffy, stale might be a good description...no fan, couldn't find the thermostat. It needs updating for sure. The bed was okay, thanks for the extra pillows and blankets. The rug definitely needs replacing. For the low price for 1 night, okay we survived just fine but we would've preferred stayed at a hotel for cheaper, and no doubt less old and stinky.
