It was a beautiful setting and away from downtown Hot Springs but close enough to go to. The place was very clean and appealing.

They offered a second room at a higher rate. The bed was soft. The view of Hamilton Lake was nice.
They did have hot breakfast sadly the waffle machine was broke.
I was initially offered a room right next to the laundry room which was loud. There was towel covering an object behind the door but over the bed. I had no idea what it was. The room was dingey and the pillows smelled sweaty. I did ask for other pillows and was told there were none. I did speak to the fron desk attendant who came to see what was going on with the towel on the wall. Turned out it was a smoke detector covered up, which happened to fall to the floor and beep like crazy. I asked for another room possibly one with a balcony. My first room view was a water hose, discarded furniture. I was offered another room at a higher rate. I already felt uncomfortable and had flown in for a funeral. So I accepted and was moved to a higher floor with a balcony. There was a view of the lake and the partially drained pool, green. The website did not mention it was a seasonal pool. The floor in the room had not been swept, the counter had green powder on it that transfered to my hand. It was not cleaning product it was food. The mini refrigerator hummed and there was a visible water leak and the desk next to it was warped. There was an extension cord between the desk and refrigerator right near the water. There were unfilled screw holes in the shower and above the bed. The floor of the bathtub was also dirty. The front desk attendant was notified, asked to see pictures and said she would have housekeeping come up and asked that I stay and tell the maid what needed to be cleaned. I felt like I had already told her and that I was doing her job. I did stay to watch and there was a lot of dirt in the pipe swept up.
It was much better and I was offered a few extra hand towels.
To the side and front of the hotel was old discarded patio furniture along with some new unplaced/not set up for use.. I would have liked to see the property cleaned up. It made the property feel cheap, dirty and unsafe.
