    The hotel was nice, clean, and centrally located for our activities. The room was spacious and provided a home like feeling with a fireplace. We were not happy with the breakfast location and the lack of enthusiasm from the front desk staff both at checking in and giving clear directions to find the breakfast location.

    Location of this hotel is pretty good if you like the vibe of old/boutique downtown. Everything is fine with two odds that we need to deal with, one is the breakfast room is "far" ( in usual standard) and requires a bit "look and seek", do make sure to wear warm in certain weather condition; another is the elevator was not working during our stay while we were travelling with two cats ( lots of cats amenities we need to carry along) and two big luggages. it was very exhausting caryring all these up and downs those stairs. we even witnessed a gentleman panting heavily while climbing up to the 4th floor back to his room. I almost felt like he was going to collapse and luckily he was not.

    This is an older all suite hotel located across from the mall Monterey convention center. The units are very large and comfortable, including gas fireplaces. The WiFi is horrible like something about 20 years ago. Breakfast is holiday inn sparse. The new owners eliminated the very generous spreads of prior years. Right along the bay trail and one block from downtown.

    Room was huge and clean, amenities are complete. The location may be quite noisy as it’s fronting the road. Make-up room is upon request - and even though we requested they missed out on it. Which was irritating as they did not provide an alternative. And so we just slept in a messy room
