Sand Dollar Inn

Room was very clean and modern, and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Check in and check out was super simple.

Room has a slight musky smell, but I went nose-blind to it quickly and it didn't bother me. There was also the sound of some strange, rhythmic machinery that began in the early hours of the morning. I was unable to tell if this was coming from something another guest was doing, or some machinery somewhere in the hotel. It was also quite close to a major road, and the traffic could be a little loud at times, but not terrible.

We enjoyed that we could park within view of our room. There was a handle in the shower. The receptionist quickly got an extra towel for us. The room had a high ceiling, had a fridge and mircowave and a small table to use for eating.

No ventilation in the bathroom. Curtains didn't cover the corner of the room where night lighting from the parking lot came in through the window. I had trouble understanding one of the employees when they spoke.

It has some modern touches, but more detailed attention to the facilities could be made. Torn office chair, rust around the door frame, missing chain lock on entry door, scratches on wooden bathroom fixtures, unappealing window package, almost empty toilet paper roll, first floor window view into an unappealing space behind the building.
