Very pleasant, quiet area - west side of Vancouver. Very comfortable bed.

The breakfast was a home cooked meal - salmon quiche, Japanese pancakes, ham and cheese quiche - all with a fruit bowl. Joanne served us at 9 am and sat for a little visit over coffee before my mom and I headed out for the day. Mia, the B&B house dog made sure to greet us every morning for pets.

• The neighborhood was very quiet & beautiful with plenty of parking on the street. It felt safe. • Joanne responded quickly & kindly to our questions & allowed us to arrive early. • We left early each morning so we missed her home made breakfasts. She provided us with a continental breakfast (an option listed on the site) with yummy fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese & jam. • Our room was comfy and cozy with plenty of blankets, closet space, & a private bathroom. • The backyard is lovely & quiet if you want some peaceful outdoor time. ***This is the 3rd year in a row that we’ve stayed in Joanne’s beautiful home. A charming B&B in a beautiful leafy suburb. Great location and not too far from public transport to get into the city. Joanne is a lovely friendly host and prepared a delicious fresh breakfast each day - the pancakes were a highlight!

Unfortunately our room was in the basement at the back of the house. There was no natural light so it was very dark, and with no windows opening to the outside there was no fresh air, which made it feel quite stale. It really did need a thorough clean - a bit grubby in places with lots of cobwebs and dust. The bathroom was dark and damp, with black mould in places. Perhaps this was due to no extractor fan? We know Vancouver is expensive but this seemed very overpriced for the room we had. Plus there wasn’t a single fire safety sign or smoke alarm anywhere…
