My houfriend and I have stayed here many times and it has been great , except for this time . The remote didn’t work . We didn’t call the front desk because we were too tired to switch rooms . The air condition was on and there was a storm that night . I couldn’t figure out how to turn the air off because it would not let me turn the heat on .

I got there for the fireworks. We were not told in advance that at 6pm (our exact time of arrival, the constables would be shutting down the whole area. It took us an hour to work our way through a neighborhood we'd never been to in order to find the ONE roundabout path that allowed us to get to the public parking behind the hotel). It still cost us *** with validation. They told us our rooms would be side by side. There was one in between us. Fine. We made due. The pool they advertized is actually through a rather nice dining establishment next door in the DoubleTree. While it's close, walking through there in a sopping wet swimsuit might be a bit uncomfortable. In other words, pack your patience. We were there overnight. The view of the fireworks was phenomenal over the Detroit River and the room and other facilities that we did see were okay. Nice....not exceptional and not run down. Hopefully my bill is right.

This hotel is a very dirty one. We came into the room late at night and found a nasty smell and toenail clippings on the floor. The bed did not even have a fitted sheet on them.
