About this house rental
This beautiful property is located on the hills above Lucca, just 11 km from this stunning city. The house has been recently renovated respecting the original architectural character. It is located between Valgiano and Matraia, a beautiful area with a breathtaking view of the olive groves and the plain of Lucca. Its location is spectacular as well as a good place for touring Tuscany. Florence (70 km) and Pisa (30 km) are easy to reach by bus or train from Lucca, as well as the Tuscan coast (Viareggio etc.).
The house, elegantly furnished and full of rural Tuscan style, offers a relaxing and enchanting holiday.
In front of the entrance there is a nice equipped terrace for al fresco dining, and next to it a large garden with barbecue and deckchairs, a wonderful place to enjoy maximum use of outdoor living where there is also a small stone pool (2x1 m) fresh spring water gives.
On two floors, about 120 square meters, suitable for up to 6 people.
Ground floor: access to the kitchen (fridge, oven, toaster, kettle), a bathroom with shower, a large living room. First floor: on the left side a double bedroom, and on the right a bathroom with shower, a double room with French bed (for 1 + 1/2), a large living room with an open gallery with two single beds. At guests' disposal a washing machine, hairdryer, DVD player, TV, books (in English and Italian) and Wi-Fi connection.
Nearest restaurant and grocery in Valgiano 600 meters, or Matraia 1 km. Supermarket, etc. 3 km.
The price includes gas, electricity, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels, Wi Fi. .

We enjoyed every single moment of our stay, even a heavy thunderstorm with lots of rain. The house offers a lot of space and is very well equipped. Only WLan didn't really worked since the router is only a mobile internet receiver with very poor connection. But the view, the olive trees in the back of the house and the need chickens of the neighbour's were more than a compensation. Silvia is fantastic - only the olive oil she sold us is better :-)

A very comfortable enjoyable stay in the Italian countryside. We look forward to a return trip. I highly recommend the Chianti Montalbono wine.
