Ventnor Esplanade - just 100 metres from the house - is home to the acclaimed 'Smoking Lobster' restaurant along with the celebrated 'Spyglass Inn' in addition to the Millbay pub, the Met Tapas bar, Toni's Tea and Cake bar, and Lady Scarlett's retro teahouse and the Blake's Longshoreman's Museum (the Blake have worked the beach for 138 years - and still do (beach huts, café, and deckchairs.
