About this cottage rental
Arrange to stay in these two gorgeous Suffolk retreats and accommodate a party of six in total. Situated near the village of Wilby, 2.5 miles from Stradbroke, these sumptuous barn-style lodges offer three bedrooms and chic, single-storey accommodation, within a picturesque, rural setting. Each has its own private, pretty garden, as well as access to 2.5 acres of beautiful, shared woodland. They each have a wood burner to toast beside after autumn and winter walks and are within reach of a myriad of coastal and countryside beauty spots.
Wander into the two-bedroom cottage to discover an airy lounge where you can stoke up the wood burner or open the garden doors, then relax in front of the Smart TV or listen to music through the sound system. Whip up hearty feasts for your party in the kitchen/diner, then dine in here or out in the fresh air together. The bedrooms here include a double and a twin and there is a family bathroom. The second hideaway also has an inviting lounge with a wood burner and a Smart TV and music system. There is also a kitchen/diner where you can prepare and sit down to homecooked meals, plus a king-size bedroom, with TV, and a family bathroom. Each property has its own enclosed garden for outdoor living, plus access to a shared laundry and the expansive grounds. There is plenty of parking on site.
Organise walks and cycle rides in the surrounding area. Venture off to the Suffolk Heritage Coast for the day. Dunwich, 18 miles away, where there is a sandy beach and scenic heath, is a beautiful location. This was once a busy medieval port but was submerged by the sea in a storm. Framlingham, 8 miles away, is a colourful Suffolk town, with a striking, 12th-century castle.
Sundial Lodge welcomes a pet and your furry friend can enjoy the 5 acres of attached woodland. Woodland Lodge is pet free zone though.
