About this cottage rental
Nestled in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, this charming farmhouse is just 4 miles from Honiton and offers sweeping views across the Otter Valley jam-packed with features dating back from over 500 years ago. Perfect for families or friends seeking nature, beaches, and adventure, and with plenty of on-site facilities to keep you busy and fill the days with fun, regardless of the weather. The Jurassic Coast, with seaside towns like Sidmouth and Lyme Regis, lies within 17 miles. The cathedral city of Exeter, 25 miles away, offers culture, shopping, and activities like kayaking at the Quay. Enjoy coastal paths, Dartmoor, and National Trust gems like Killerton and Castle Drogo. Kids will love Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary (12 miles), Escot Wildwood (10 miles). Diggerland, Crealy Adventure Park or Pecorama, are all around 30 minutes from the farmhouse and provide a fantastic day out.
Step inside and the original beams and quirky features welcome you into the dining space, with a large oak table awaiting mealtimes and fun game nights. To the left is the lounge area, with a warming wood burner, Smart TV and snug sofas for relaxing your legs after a long day exploring. Opposite the hall is the kitchen, which comes fully equipped and boasts a traditional farmhouse feel. Upstairs, you’ll find the inviting king-size bedroom which features a TV and use of the adjacent shower room and WC. Down to the right-hand side of the stairs are a further three bedrooms, two twin rooms and a double bedroom. These rooms make use of the family bathroom, which has a useful shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, you have access to the array of on-site facilities including 2 acres of well-kept gardens, a large indoor swimming pool, a games room with a pool table and table tennis, an outdoor sauna and much more.
