Beautifully modern, this comfortable holiday home offers contemporary open-plan living. In the roomy lounge/kitchen/diner, dual-aspect windows let plenty of light in. There are sofas to sink into, a well-equipped kitchen and large wooden dining table for group meals, plus ample floor space for doggies to doze. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor while the other two are upstairs. The expansive private garden, fully enclosed with fences and trees, is perhaps the best thing about this lovely home, creating a peaceful sanctuary for you to relax in. There’s a huge lawn and a patio equipped with furniture so you can dine alfresco.
There’s plenty to discover nearby, whether that’s birdwatching, absorbing some local history at the Red House (0.5 miles) or going sailing or yachting in nearby Slaughden (1 mile). Aldeburgh is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, opening up plenty of scenic walking opportunities through the wildlife-rich marshland and estuary. For a pleasing ramble, set off along the shingle beach, then climb up onto the cliffs towards Thorpeness (2.5 miles). You can also enjoy riverside walks around the River Alde (5.5 miles) and explore ancient woodland at Captain’s Wood (10 miles).
