About this house rental

Enjoy uninterrupted sea views from this pet-friendly cliff-top house above Cromer beach. With three versatile bedrooms, a fabulous garden and private parking, it’s moments from the esplanade and sands of one of Norfolk’s premier coastal towns. Experience life on the edge with a stay at this former coastguard’s look-out; it offers an impressive blend of coastal atmosphere and creature comforts, along with panoramic views across the sea.

Built in 1926, the single-storey property has a cheerful chalet feel centred around an open-plan living area where there’s a seaside-themed lounge, spacious dining area and contemporary kitchen – all bathed in natural light. A conservatory off the sitting room has additional seating and doors to the garden, and there’s both a WC and family bathroom for convenience. When it’s time to sleep, three peaceful bedrooms offer versatility to suit any family or friends’ group. With steps down into it, the king-size room here has its own en-suite shower room; alternatively choose from a twin-bedded room, or another with bunk beds that can sleep adults or children. To make the most of your location simply step out into the huge surrounding garden, where there’s a BBQ and outdoor furniture for meals with a memorable view. A shed offers secure bike storage as well as housing a freezer and tumble dryer, and a gate leads to a strip of old coastal path with direct access to the cliff edge – take care of children here, and around the small covered pond within the enclosed garden.

Cromer is a traditional seaside town, its sandy beach backed by a promenade offering family-style entertainment and end-of-the-pier theatre staging shows year round. If you’re up for a challenge, climb the stairs to the top of the church tower for spectacular views, or, tide allowing, stroll along the sands to Sheringham; it’s a 5-mile drive if you don’t have the energy to walk. Alternatively, take the Coast Hopper bus that runs along the coast to Hunstanton and The Wash, or enjoy a change of terrain with a visit to Sheringham Park (6 miles).
