About this house rental

Summary:

Pull up a chair on the deck and watch the fog roll in over miles of open ocean. End the day in your private hot tub with the ocean as your soundtrack. Your deck is a front-row seat to the Pacific. Room for 6 in this 2-bedroom home. Walk to local restaurants, river access, and Gualala Point Regional Park. Art galleries, river trails, and the wild Pacific are all within reach. Salt air drifts through the windows as the Pacific puts on its daily show just beyond the deck.

The Space:

Take in a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean, the coastal meadow, and redwood-covered hills at this four-bedroom, oceanfront home in Sea Ranch. You'll be mere steps from the oceanfront Bluff Trail and the Del Mar Meadow Trail, with a private hot tub and a courtyard to come home to.

This home sits on a quiet cul-de-sac at Del Mar Point, within walking distance of Tide Pool Beach, the Sea Ranch Golf Links, Gualala Point Regional Park, and the Del Mar Recreation Center - one of three rec centers you'll have passes to with a pool, tennis courts, and saunas.

The work of AIA architect Dan Levin, the house was designed and built around a central courtyard - a serene, sheltered space to barbecue in the afternoons, dine in the evenings, and marvel at the night sky from the warmth of the hot tub.

The single-level interior is accented by travertine floors, clerestory windows, and walls of west-facing glass that frame the meadow and ocean. The great room is a natural gathering space with 16-foot ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a built-in window seat for reading and whale-watching. Any home cook will feel at home in the open kitchen offering Bosch double ovens, a Gaggenau gas stovetop, a Subzero refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher, and fir cabinetry.

Spend your evenings marveling at the sunset, playing board games at the dining room table, and streaming or screening movies on the TV and DVD player. Of the three bedrooms, all have soft wool carpeting and two open directly to the courtyard.
