Rose Cottage is a lovely cottage set in the heart of Cark in Cumbria. Hosting three bedrooms, including a king-size double, twin and single, this cottage can sleep five guests. There is also a bathroom to serve the bedrooms, and on the ground floor there is a sitting room and kitchen/diner. To the outside is a patio area and roadside parking to the front of the cottage. Rose Cottage is a delightful retreat to this pretty Cumbrian village. Please note this property only accepts bookings with a minimum of 3 nights.
The Neighborhood:
Renowned for being the prettiest village in the Lake District, the little town of Cartmel in South Lakeland is a wonderful holiday destination. At the heart of this thriving community is the Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England with its gatehouse still in use as the entrance to the settlement itself. Amidst cobbled streets and pretty streamside walks, are a range of quaint gift shops, antique shops, traditional pubs that serve real ale and the nationally renowned Michelin-starred restaurant L'Enclume. A well-loved destination for hill-walkers, the region is full of excellent trails through stunning, unspoilt countryside. In addition, there is the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum and Hunt Racecourse all in the near vicinity.
