About this villa rental
This outstanding villa, together with the adjacent farmhouse, has recently been restored to a very high standard. Both houses date from the 16th century, retaining all their historic features as a true Tuscan idyll. Nonetheless, sufficient cosiness and comfort, combined with modern technology has been introduced to satisfy almost every 21st century requirement, including a very well equipped kitchen and wi-fi internet connection. Also a computer is at clients disposal in the guest house. Villa Igea is ideal for discerning groups, who appreciate high quality comfort in a secluded environment. The property is set in a quiet location, high in the hills northwest of Lucca, with spectacular views over the surrounding scenery. A very well maintained garden encircles the house and a big centuriesold oak tree provides a shady area, perfect for “al fresco” meals. The owners have kept two farmhouses on the same estate for their own use and for the use of the multilingual house manager, about 80 meters from the villa but in no way do they encroach on their client’s privacy. The property has its own olive grove, producing fine organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil under its own label. To remark: The property can be rented for 8 people only in low season. In Mid and high season it is only possible to rent the entire house (for 13.

12 Norwegians descended upon villa Igea to celebrate Tom’s 75th birthday. We’ve had the best week in fantastic surroundings, resting our eyes on the Tuscan hills in summer here.
We’ve made immense meals with tasty Italian ingredients, including rosemary and sage from the Villa Igea gardens. We’ve bathed in both chess boccia and the horse’s board games
We’ve appreciated the estate to the degree that we’ve only made a short visit to Lucca. Leaving Villa Igea we have a newfound appreciation for textile wallpapers, cooking on gas stoves, orange trees outside kitchen windows, frogs singing, donkey neighbours and spacious room – inside and outside!

Our family and friends group of 8 adults and 2 children had such a wonderful time at the Villa. The donkeys were a particularly fun surprise for all! The pool was so relaxing and we loved trying out all of the many seating areas. Thank you! Grazie!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing level of service you extended to me and my family during our stay in Lucca. You were incredibly responsive and supportive at every step and provided me with excellent recommendations - from chef (who was simply amazing in every way) to the photographer. I want to make a special mention of the lovely Brygida. She was simply the best - always anticipating our every need and accommodating a large group with ease. Please tell her how much we will miss seeing her friendly smile every morning asking for a big hug.
You have a slice of heaven at the villa, and you have a great staff supporting you. I will definitely recommend you to friends and family, and I wish for you to have continued success with your business!

As we leave this fabulous place, we are so grateful and happy that we found “Villa Igea”!
We are a family group of twelve – two grandparents two daughters and their husbands and six grandchildren, and we have never been to Italy as a family group before. This has been a wonderful experience – the spectacular views, the wonderful garden fabulous pool, and of course the beautiful villa itself!
And we were all so comfortable in our rooms – in awe of the huge amount of thought and effort that had gone into the internal design.
The staff has been wonderful and they deserve a big thank you.
A week wasn’t long enough, sadly, but we live in hopes of came back again soon. Thank you!!!
