Antico Casale Sodini is located in Vorno, a small village, just outside Lucca, Italy in the lush rolling hills of Tuscany just a short drive from the village center of Lucca.
This charming Villa was originally a farmhouse and has been beautifully restored with elegant luxury.
This Villa makes you feel as if you are coming home with attention to detail for your every comfort and need. Serenity is the philosophy of life offered here, as Antico Casale Sodini is brought back to life for your enjoyment.
Here in the warm golden afternoons you can breath in the simple pleasures of the past.
The rooms are intimate and comfortable living spaces, full of warmth and welcome.
The ground floor is the dining room where one can admire the vaulted ceiling, the stonework, and other traditional workmanship. The entry hall’s large window looks on to the garden, bringing in the outside.
The study and powder room continue in the same elegant style.
Two stone fireplaces, that still awakens the warmth and memories of family gatherings, old stories, and friendly conversations.
On the upper floor of villa are five double bedrooms, each with private bathrooms.
Three rooms face north with views of the panoramic valley and hills and two look southwards over the beautiful garden and brook.
Of the five bedrooms, one is a large master suite with sitting room to provide the utmost in comfort and luxury.
The villa is filled with period furniture and splendid decorative objects. Nothing has been left to chance.
The luxurious bathrooms are fitted with both tubs and showers. The spacious garden is filled with potted lemons, olive trees, pines, camellias, wisteria, roses, lavender, rosemary and fruit trees, all forming a splendid backdrop to the swimming pool.

My family and I spent a beautiful week at Casale Sodini. The home is every bit as lovely as depicted in the on line photos. The property is amazing, with a lovely garden, pool and beautiful views.
We were very centrally located and found it quite easy to travel to Pisa, Lucca center, Florence and even to the port where we took a boat tour of the Cinque Terre.
Above all, Lucia is an amazing host. She responded to all of our questions and requests quickly. She also helped us by making some wonderful restaurant recommendations as well as options for transportation and sights to see.
We hope to come back to Casale Sodini some day.

We were a family of at some points 9 adults during our stay over mid-July to August 10th. Our impression of the property was very true to the photographs posted which was a rustic restored farmhouse with beautiful grounds. The pool area was even larger in person. As you can see from the posted photos, there are 5 ensuite bathrooms for the 5 bedrooms in the main house and 2 bedrooms and 1 bath in the annex across the front courtyard. All are a very good size with nice amenities and furnishings. The living room is a good size and the dining room accommodated the 9 of us easily. The air conditioning worked well and kept both the main house and annex cool and comfortable. We experienced a pretty bad heatwave the first week so we were grateful for the AC. The staff, especially Isabella were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Isabella also speaks English well. The kitchen was well equipped with a good size new refrigerator. The separate ice maker came in handy. The only problem we incurred in the entire 3 weeks was on our arrival day. Somehow, I could not get my gps to locate 65 Via di Vorno so we were over an hour late arriving. The small bridge is not marked so we missed it. We believe it would be difficult to cross over the bridge into the property with any car larger than a VW Passat Station Wagon (which is what we rented). The good news is once we decided we were lost we called Samuelle who picked up promptly and asked Isabella, who lives nearby to meet us and lead us to the villa. Our stay at the villa was spectacular and we were more than pleased with the condition of the property and all amenities. It was a nice surprise one day after our family left and it was just the two of us that Samuelle came over to introduce himself and made us feel very welcome. He invited us to the house next door where his parents live and we had a lovely visit. We opted to hire the villa chef and caretaker Isabella to prepare a dinner for all 9 of us. We were able to chose the courses and she and her daughter Sophia came and cooked for us. It was wonderful. We would mention after going to the market, Essalunga a couple of times on Condordia, we found the Coop market in Guamo was within minutes to the villa and had everything we needed including a full butcher. We highly recommend Casale Sodini for those who want to be in the country but close enough to Lucca and Pisa. Grazie
