Tamarillo Bach - Coastal Comfort

We stayed at **Tamarillo Bach – Coastal Comfort** for four nights and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic — only a 2-minute walk to the beautiful Cooper’s Beach, which was a real highlight. The bach was very clean, well set up, and had just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds were especially comfortable, which made a big difference after long beach days.

A couple of small things would have improved the experience further. A standard toaster would have been handy, and ceiling fans or air conditioning would make a big difference in warmer weather. The hot water pressure was also very low, which made showering and washing dishes a bit frustrating. We were also a little surprised to be required to take our own rubbish and recycling away, particularly given the substantial cost of the accommodation — it felt more like something you’d expect at a DOC campsite rather than a paid holiday rental. That said, it’s a lovely place in a great spot, and with a few minor tweaks it would be outstanding.
