About this cabin rental
The main floor features a sunken living room with TV. A full kitchen, please note the oven is also a combined microwave. While most meals can be prepared here, I wouldn't plan on making an elaborate Thanksgiving Dinner. The bathroom has a rainfall shower head with a soaking tub.
The 2nd bed is up in the loft. Keep in mind that whoever goes up there will need to be confident on a ladder. While we love kids, I would avoid bringing toddlers or kids (or adults) who cannot climb safely.
There is also a sauna, hot tub and covered area with outdoor seating. This area is private.
We know most of our guests will be the outdoorsy type. We have created a space for you to be able to dry your gear after being on the slopes. See the picture for the dryer we constructed out of PVC pipes, it can dry 4 people's boots/gloves/hats simultaneously. There is also a washer and dryer located in this area. We have a place outside to be able to keep your skis and snowboards.
The dome sits down a shared gravel road with some large potholes, so please drive slowly. The area isn't upscale or manicured- it's a simple, longtime neighborhood with a relaxed, rural feel.
The neighbors have lived here for years and every one of them has been kind and welcoming to both us and our guests. If you happen to see them, a quick hello goes a long way. One of the neighbors helps to take the garbage to the highway on garbage days.
As you drive down the gravel road, you will likely be greeted by two large German Shepherds that belong to a nearby home. They roam their property and like to trot up to visiting cars and may bark (their bark is big, but their tales are wagging), just drive past them to the dome driveway. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, please keep this in mind before booking.
