About this house rental
Just 8 mins to the supermarket and 20 to beautiful beaches, this retreat offers the perfect balance of nature and convenience. Set on 1.5 acres with stunning views, this unique shed home features open-plan living, a spacious bedroom, 3 cozy cabins and a huge lawn, ideal for families or groups. Unwind outdoors with a BBQ, fire pit, and an outdoor bath. Explore the beaches and nearby walking tracks. A comfortable, nature-filled escape that’s still close to everything you need.
Our place is a converted shed that’s been thoughtfully set up to provide a comfortable, rustic stay with everything you need for a relaxed getaway. The shed is insulated, with air conditioning, double-glazed windows, and polished concrete flooring in the dining area, plus rugs to keep things cosy.
Inside the main shed you’ll find:
- Open plan living & dining, 58inch TV, board games, built-in ceiling speakers (Bluetooth), books.
- Bathroom & Laundry (Toilet, Shower, Vanity, Washer, Dryer)
- One large bedroom with a king-size bed & 50inch TV, walk-in wardrobe with a makeup vanity and office space with a computer screen.
In addition, there are three separate cabins designed with flexibility in mind. Each cabin has:
- A double bed on the lower level.
- TV & Chromecast
- A single bed on a mezzanine floor above, great for kids or extra guests.
Outdoors you will find:
- A large covered patio area with outdoor furniture & outdoor speakers linked to the ones inside (switches on the wall to control indoor/outdoor)
- Dart board
- An outdoor bath with jets
- A fire pit with hanging cooking grill
- A BBQ
- A vegetable garden
- A huge lawn, great for frisbee, cricket etc.
This setup makes the property ideal for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a home base to explore the local beaches, walking tracks and greater Whangarei/Northland area.
Guest access
You will be able to check yourself in at any time using the lockbox at the property — no need to coordinate arrival times. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you the lockbox code and directions through the booking app.
You will find the keys for the cabins inside the main shed. You will have full access to the property and can come and go as you please.
