Region: With many quaint, seaside and market towns, historic sites and miles of glorious coastline to explore, Sussex has it all for a great holiday destination.
Town: Resting on the English border, between the sea and land is the idyllic village of Pagham. Perched on the harbour, this small village houses a protected Nature Reserve, allowing nature to flourish, ideal for those for those who love birdwatching. Moreover, many of the buildings within the village are bungalow dwellings which have been crafted from old railway carriages, as well as shops, a selection of three ale and beer pubs and one of the finest churches of its kind, St. Thomas à Becket. You will also find a shingle beach resting on the coastline with a reputation for being one of the sunniest places in the UK. The beach is superb for swimming, yachting, windsurfing, walking and the historic point of interest, the World War II Mulberry Harbour platform. Close by is the seaside resort of Bognor Regis and further afield is the cathedral city of Chichester, each housing amenities and attractions to suit all ages and tastes. Pagham promises a quaint base for touring West Sussex.
