Boutique House Forty-Four

This little gem is perfectly located to enjoy all the little city has to offer. We could not have been made more welcome, and were given lots of little hints and tips that made our stay very enjoyable. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and peaceful too. It was up some stairs, however fine for us. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the toiletries, replenished water daily and the hairdryer! Breakfast was a leisurely affair with great service. We ate twice in the restaurant because the food, atmosphere and service were second to none.

The location of the hotel was superb - right in the heart of Dubrovnik's old town and the ancient streets, but easy to find. The conversion of the property has been done to a very high standard, with quality fittings and furniture. The large bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and efficient - particulalry Rafaelle, Dinko and Oliver who made us feel like valued guests.

It was great being in the heart of the city, but as might be expected the nearby bars were noisy (although not too late).

Quirky and boutique

A lot of stairs, no mini bar, staff not overly helpful in terms of bags. Manager insisted on booking that we must use their car service from the airport if we wanted help for the 400m walk from the gate. So we agreed and then the car never turned up. We caught a cab and had to find our way with bags to hotel. Then when we left they were very reluctant to help us back to the gate with our bags. Unless you are traveling light or are energetic I do not recommend this hotel
