The Space:
PLEASE NOTE that although the listing photos include shots of the entire apartment complex, featuring the front units with a direct view of the ocean, your unit does not have a direct ocean view. However, you are still just a few steps away from the beach and boardwalk.
This efficiently designed studio boasts modern appliances and thoughtful amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. Special features include a luxurious bathtub and direct beachfront access, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The queen bed is a Murphy bed and is heavy. For your safety, please have a second person assist if you need to move it.
Please note! The bathtub jets are currently not working. We apologize for the inconvenience. The bathtub is deep, so not ideal for those with limited mobility.
The outside patio is available for all guests staying at the complex to enjoy, as well as the propane grill.

Street parking is available but very limited, especially in this busy Mission Bay beachfront area. There is no designated parking for this unit, and the front spaces belong to other units, so please do not park there, even temporarily. We recommend considering public transit or rideshares like Uber to make your stay easier.
Your studio apartment is located on the second floor of the complex, and requires using the stairs.

This property has everything you would want in a short stay. Right on the board walk, close to bars and restaurants.

TL;DR: fairly good location, managing company was a responsive host, but I was there for 3 days & there was no hot water.
1. Pictures are misleading, check the fine print - this location isn't ACTUALLY beachfront, but does have a little sliver of a view of the beach so you can check weather and crowding levels.
2. Check-in isn't until 5pm, which was new to me. Other places I've stayed through VRBO & the other major site have earlier check-ins, on average 3pm.
3. They did allow me a late checkout - not sure if that's their policy or if it was a consolation prize for no hot water, but either way I appreciated it.
4. I was here for about 3 days. I'm so lucky that I had no events to go to because the hot water did not work throughout my entire stay. Attempted to wash my hair in the sink, at least, & it was also super cold.
5. It's a studio, & half the overhead lights in the main living area were burnt out.
6. Alerted the host when I got there that the lights and jetted bathtub weren't working. The next day was when I realized there was no hot water for the shower. They sent a maintenance crew over (I was at dinner but said they could go in). When I got back I tried to shower: after a couple of mins, the water got hot for about 5-10sec, then went cold again.
7. Unprompted, they refunded/compensated me for my troubles, which was nice of them.
8. It was a super frustrating visit though, I couldn't relax. Or shower.
