Sitting within the beautiful Blackmore Vale in the popular small town of Stalbridge, Oldways Cottage is ideally located for easy access to Stourhead, Longleat, Stonehenge, Sherborne, Dorchester, Sturminster Newton, and the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury. There are numerous quaint villages just a short drive or cycle away, and the stunning Jurassic Coast can be reached in under an hour.
The space
Stalbridge has a variety of shops which cater well for everyday needs with an award-winning supermarket, family run butchers, village pub and a variety of takeaway shops, and it is surrounded on all sides by beautiful countryside with numerous footpaths and bridleways to explore.
Recently renovated, the original stonework and character features of this special cottage are showcased alongside contemporary styling and furnishings, with comfort at the fore. The accommodation includes an attractive lounge with seating for 8 guests, and a well-equipped dining kitchen with everything you could need for cooking and serving delicious meals. The four bedrooms are furnished with zip & link beds, offering you complete flexibility, so that each can be set up as a generous double or as separate singles depending on the needs of your party. Finally, there is a family bathroom with shower, and a separate shower room also, both with heated towel rails.
Outside is a sheltered courtyard with garden furniture, a nice spot to sit with your morning coffee.

This cottage is comfortable accommodation for a group of friends or families who want a central base for touring. The village has an excellent privately owned supermarket; a butchers and PO and general store and a good fish and chip shop.Lots to do and see in the area. No parking on site but there is a green public car park nearby.
