About this house rental
La Locanda del Molino Vecchio is a splendid eighteenth-century farmhouse finely restored in Magliano Alfieri, in the Cornale hamlet, only 8 km from Alba, the capital of the Langhe, famous worldwide for its fine wines and for the King of the plates, Majesty the White Truffle.
The home, the result of a clever and fine restoration, is welcoming and functional at the same time and transmits to those who "live" the relaxed atmosphere of our countryside. The precious materials used for the restoration, typical of the territory, are oak wood and the luserna stone that give the environment unparalleled warmth and hospitality.
The house can comfortably accommodate up to 15 people in six comfortable rooms, each with its own private bathroom, all overlooking the large garden that surrounds it.
A cozy living room with a large fireplace and a magnificently equipped kitchen are at your disposal. In the garden, completely fenced, you will find a great swimming pool with a solarium, a barbecue area, a large shaded table for eating out, and an outdoor bowling court. At their disposal, our guests will naturally also find the convenient shaded parking.
The large park includes shrubs, and ornamental and fruit trees and allows relaxing walks immersed in a green oasis. Do not forget the space dedicated to our donkeys, who will be happy for your pampering!
The house is available for a minimum of 7 nights from June to September and 3 nights the rest of the year. The daily base price refers to 8 people, even if the number of occupants is lower, to which the costs for extra guests, post-stay cleaning, energy consumption, and the tourist tax must be added. Children under 2 are accommodated for free. By requesting them in advance, we offer, without adding additional costs, up to two cots and high chairs.

We have just enjoyed a most wonderful month at the Cornale property in Magliano Alfieri.
The property was well disposed and allowed us to enjoy a three generation stay for some of our visit without feeling any pressure on the space. Our grandchildren loved their time visiting the donkeys and the sheep.
The area is a very good advert for the range of attractions available in Italy, with excellent food, wine, historic sites and beautiful and interesting villages to visit.
All in all a very successful choice of region and property.

Thank you, Elena and your family, for the week you hosted us. Excellent service from you with booking restaurant, organizing transportation to Alba and making our rooms fitting our demands. Besides separate rooms with your own bathroom – important when six couples are travelling together – there was lot of space to be together and a well-equipped kitchen. Nice!
For a group coming for the wine this was a perfect place to stay. Barbaresco just around the corner, Barolo and the city of Alba only half an hour away and also the Monferrato area reachable. We visited several wineries but also the truffle market in Alba during the week. Exactly what we hoped for!
All of us enjoyed our stay very much!

Our stay at the Locanda last week was great. It was the perfect place to relax for a few days and catch up with close friends. The kids loved the pool, the adults loved the wine!
Elena was really helpful in organising a chef (Michele) to cook for us on some of the nights which made the whole stay even more relaxed as we didn’t have to worry about dinner! The kids loved his pasta Ragu! She also ordered us a good supply of the local wine which we would highly recommend.
The Villa has plenty of space and well proportioned bedrooms, all with en suites. The donkeys and dogs were a hit with the kids, although did sometimes disturb a little at night as it was warm and we had the windows open.
All in all, we had a great week and hope to go back one day!

Very nice house, garden and swimming pool. Each bedroom has a full bathroom annex which is very comfortable. The bathrooms are older design but still function well. The kitchen and living room(s) are large and nice. The contact with the owner was excellent and she reacted promptly when we had a problem. The contact with the lady that lives there was also very nice. We had a nice wine tastingin the garden one day. Overall, it was an excellent stay for us (6 adults and 5 children).
