Was it the array of local restaurants (Tony’s is minutes away) and breweries (Vantage Point is just down the road), the charming mom-and-pop shops along Sherman Avenue, or perhaps the limitless outdoor adventures offered by North Idaho, including golf, cycling, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and the stunning Lake Coeur d'Alene? Whatever your reason, the Eagles Nest is perfectly situated in the heart of it all.
Right outside your door lies the town's most popular biking and walking/running trail – the North Idaho Centennial Trail. It gracefully follows the shoreline, leading you down the lake towards Higgins Point and two public boat launches or in the opposite direction towards downtown CDA and all the way to Spokane.
A brief 5-minute drive takes you past the renowned Resort Golf course with its iconic floating green and into downtown. Feel free to peruse our guidebook for top recommendations on local eateries and shops.

Crafted with you and your family in mind, the Eagles Nest features a spacious open-concept kitchen, creating the perfect gathering space. Connecting seamlessly to the living room and back veranda, it allows you to cook dinner, inside or out, while engaging with family and friends. The main floor hosts a generously sized primary bedroom along with two additional rooms. In the bonus room above the garage, discover a playroom and an extra pull-out couch.
Adjacent to the main home is "Doug's Out House" – a unique accommodation experience! With two additional bedrooms, this space is more than just an outbuilding, it has the nicest bathroom of the four. Inside, you'll find a large 10-person table set up for game night. Further down the hall, treat yourself to the ultimate relaxation in the dry sauna, steam room, and massage table. Step out the back door to enjoy the wood-burning fireplace while relaxing/watching TV in our 7-person saltwater jacuzzi. The back includes a table for 14 on the expansive tiered patio. The yard offers plenty of space for games - we provide corn hole, bocce ball, and croquet.

Amazing house and location. Most well stocked house we have ever rented. The outhouse was really special with hot tub Sauna and Steam room. Something for everyone. Our Kids and grandkids want to go back.

I highly recommend this home, which is actually two separate structures. Our stay could not have been better, and was the best vacation rental we’ve ever had. The property is beautiful and accommodated our group of 11 people perfectly. Every need we had, from condiments to games to the things you have in your own home and take for granted, were met! Our host and his team were very responsive to our questions and a few minor issues.

This was the best rental I’ve ever stayed at. You can tell this is a personal residence not just a rental shell. Doug was so communicative before and during the stay. The hot tub was last minute was not going to be working during our stay and Doug reached out and we came to an agreement but luckily he was able to have it fixed before our stay and I really appreciate the effort he put in to remedy the situation whether he was able to get it repaired in time or what he would do if he wasn’t able to get it done in time. The home was so well stocked, literally above and beyond— extra toilet paper, everything needed to cook with, sunscreen, tons of towels, games, ice chests, outdoor grills. And we arrived to fresh baked cookies on the counter!! We came as a bachelorette trip with group of 12 girls in our late 20s and we used every bit of the property. We had family style dinners, played lawn games and enjoyed sunsets from the hot tub. We are already talking about when we can come back! Thank you for everything, Doug. Your home is a gem!
